Write Beautifully

Above my computer I have the hand-lettered sign "Write Beautifully".  This is my objective now.  Each book I try to write more beautifully than the last. I am interested far more in the art of writing than in selling books.  Today's genre market is crowded with people trying to market and sell books.  I have nothing against that. Selling books is great. But marketing doesn't satisfy my creative spirit like writing does. When I'm not writing I'm cranky.  Since publishing "The Next Universe Over", I've worked on bringing five of my books out in print.  While that creative process was interesting, it was a total time hog and I didn't write as much as I would have liked.  Now I'm back in my writing groove and I'm much happier.  Summer is here at last. The weather is spectacular.  And my focus is on writing beautifully.
