Oregon Writers Colony Digital Publishing Conference

The weekend of March 24 and 25 I spent in Portland at an e-publishing conference. I came away thinking I really could be an author and have a writing career. Three self-published authors who presented there had three different pricing and marketing philosophies for their print and digital books, and they were making money.  Amazing concept for an author to make money (okay, outside of the Big Names on the bestseller lists).  I got some good ideas like guest blogging and doing reviews of everything, joining online communities like Goodreads, Library Thing, and Shelfari as a reader. 

Online promoting is bewildering and is a long learning curve but not impossible.
